Camden Youth League

Fall Soccer, 2025

Ed. 3, Fall, 2025

A Note from CLY’s President, Shawn Inscore

We couldn’t be more excited for the Fall, 2025 season!  The Board of Camden Youth League and I would like to extend a sincere thank you to those returning, and to those who are new this season, we are thrilled to have you.

There are so many new and exciting adventures in progress.  We are collaborating with other counties and leagues to build partnerships and new opportunities for our Camden FC players. If you have 15U players, you will remember that we partnered with Elizabeth City Parks and Rec for the last two seasons.  This partnership gave E-City kids the opportunity to play as their numbers were low.  It also allowed our C.F.C kids to play on new fields and with new teammates. It has been a labor of love!

I am most excited about the return of a 19U division.  With so many of our older kids aging out, we just couldn’t bear to say goodbye.  This division will allow those players a place to continue to play soccer… but to make it happen, we NEED players to REGISTER. Please spread the word!

My favorite part of Camden Youth League is the sense of family. It is something we work hard for every day and are proud of. It is the reason my family and I became involved with CYL in the first place.  We saw how our kids were not only growing and making friends, but thriving!  As a homeschooling family, soccer is our Physical Education. It also introduces our children to the guidance and nurturing of other adults, and teaches them the importance of serving their community.  From helping with concessions to serving as junior coaches to assisting our dedicated referees as paid linesmen…the experiences they gain and memories they are making are priceless.

We want you to be a part of our CYL family.  Get involved- volunteer your time, make some friends or just come out and cheer our teams on! However you choose to get involved, we are thrilled to have you.  For more information or just to have a chat, please feel free to contact me at president.camdenyouthleague@gmail.com.

In an effort to protect our players from CONCUSSION, Camden Youth League is proud to announce our partnership with Neuroguard+.  This lower-fitting mouth guard reduces instances of concussion by up to 97% and increases performance by up to 17%.  It works by adjusting the lower jaw to absorb impacts that cause concussion, while allowing wearers to breathe and speak normally.  Check it out using our affiliate link and use the code CAMDENFC for a special discount!!  Camden Youth League will receive 10% of all sales made using our link!  Thank you, Neuroguard+!

Campbell University Men’s Soccer

This summer, Camden FC was privileged to host Campbell University Men’s Soccer (Division 1) coaches for our Summer Sizzle Skills Camp.  The camp was a tremendous success, and the kids did amazingly!  Plans are already in the works for a possible Winter camp and an even bigger camp next summer.  Campbell is going to work with us to help bring the price down to make it more affordable for all families! Stay tuned!

Registration is Now Open

Camden Youth League is proud to announce that we are now using TeamSnap for registration, scheduling and communication. The free app will take the place of TeamReach.  As you register your children for Fall Soccer HERE, please also download the free TeamSnap App.  Registration is set to close August 7th.

The Return of the 19U Division

We are also excited to announce the rebuilding of a 19U division.  Although players on these teams will not be eligible for the All-Stars Tournament in November, offering this division will allow our older players to continue playing with Camden Youth League.  We need your help! In order to make this work, we need kids aged 16-19 to enroll.  Our staff is working with surrounding counties and soccer clubs to make sure that these kids have ample playing time! Register HERE!

Let CYL Advertise Your Business

Camden Youth League is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of local businesses (and all those hungry people visiting the concession stand) to make sure our kids have regular season uniforms, painted fields and safe equipment.

Our sponsors will have their logo beautifully printed on their team(s) jerseys.  Some may choose to add a banner to their order as well.  The banner will be placed on the track field fence or the high school field fence as appropriate,  and will be visible by soccer, track, cheerleading, football and baseball/softball teams and spectators. This year, we are also working on adding sponsor logos to our website as well. Follow THIS LINK to register as a sponsor.

Coaches Needed (We promise, you’ll love it!)

CYL is in need of coaches for ALL divisions!  Coaches simply must be dedicated to children and be able to pass our upcoming background checks.  No previous coaching experience is necessary as our dedicated and experienced staff will help mentor and support you.  Most of our coaches are simply moms and dads, aunts and uncles, grandmas and grandpas who want to be involved with their kids’ soccer experiences. CYL is working hard to put coaches training opportunities on our books! Email Jill at secretary.camdenyouthleague@gmail.com to volunteer!

Special Thank you to Camden County Parks and Recreation

Camden Youth League works closely with Camden County Parks and Recreation, but is a separate organization.  Our beautiful facility, located at 125 Noblit Drive, belongs to and is maintained by Parks and Rec. This is a beautiful, decades long partnership and for that, Camden Youth League is so grateful. If you see Parks and Rec on the field, please thank them for all they do!
